What is ISRD
The Institute for Small and Rural Districts (ISRD) project provides statewide professional learning, regional support, technical assistance, and implementation support to strengthen instructional leadership, compliance, and school-based administrative practices across Florida's small and rural local educational agencies (LEAs).
The project supports district and school leaders, ESE administrators, Staffing Specialists, and other educational personnel as they implement federal and state requirements, improve systems and practices, and enhance outcomes for students.
Working in collaboration with the Florida Department of Education and the Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEESS), the goal of the ISRD Project is to build local capacity, strengthen leadership and compliance systems, and support continuous improvement efforts that positively impact students, families, and schools.
